What company in their right minds can expect to a sell a console to "ALL AUDIENCES" bye only giving information to us and other people as hardcore into gaming as us!? I could understand the fact a Square employee is telling us because of his time's in the old gamefaqs boards, but a marketing campaign? This whole thing starts making some sense but then just gets lost again. You have to remember, its just a game machine. Sony never knew that, but what you think, doesnt really matter, they want to be kings... And Microsoft wants money.. obviously. If this is Nintendo's attempt to return as a major player in the market, Reggie isn't doing his job. The main reason there is any speculation on it is the fact this really guy knows his information, and the fact its what yall want to believe. Sony and Micrsoft are pretty much soulless power hungry companies, but to the casual gamer, it is what it is, its all just a game. I'm a Nintendo fan, but I have an opened mind, unlike a loyalist. A Nintendo loyalist is a dreamer, you expect to much, get to little, but you keep thinking it will get better. And if it doesnt, what is there than, you have a small cardmaking company, that gained too much power lost it, and died trying everyway possible to get it back. Just like Sony and Microsoft, its buisness, we're all in for the money, except for the dreamers, Miyamoto for example. And I guess what I've said has flipped around, but facts aside, and complications gone, and human greed put aside...there's really one great thing you can't forget, and you really gotta think about this one....(I'm serious).. Anyway, I've gotten some info. from my mom, who works at EB Games, from Nintendo. They sent EB some info. for when people ask if they know any details on the Revo. What they sent was pretty amazing. It stated that they wanted to make a console that wasn't restricted to the home. Hence, the screen comes in. They also stated that they would care alot more about graphics this time around. They stated that we can expect alot of games that are at least 10 times as powerful as Resident Evil 4. That's pretty darn good. Nintendo also stated that the Revo will be alot more than a gaming system as well, but unlike the 360, the extra features are about games. Nintendo then gave an example: Imagine what it would be like to use one of the Revo's features to look up cheat codes for the game your playing from your pause menu. The rest of the stuff was only stupid stuff like the controller will change the way you play and interact with games. Square was still primarily working on PS2 games back then. And another thing, if cube mapping is true, then why hasn't Nintendo announced this yet to combat Sony and M$'s "HD is the Future!" campaign. Maybe Nintendo just wants to blow them all out of the water and show the world that $ony and M$ can't see the true future. Here's what I think we can (for the most part) believe... The controller willl LIKELY be modifiable (so that old games can easily be played). It won't be "complicated". So maybe the games can control what the controller looks like. I think the controller posted is probably going to be it or something similar. And I do think that it will be portable. There has been speculation that the stand it sits on is a charger. So it will be the most portable console (and with it being the smallest and lightest, this isn't really a challenge). It may indeed be the NGB but projection and cube-mapping? We'll have to wait and see. Maybe that is on Nintendo's mind to do it eventually but I don't know if they could do it just yet. And why should we believe anything he has said if he said that he lied about something? Why couldn't he also have lied about everything? He keeps mentioning SE and IGN. What if SE are his initials? In June 2004 Nintendo engineer Genyo Takeda said: "You'll be able to play [Revolution] not just by linking up to a television but to a computer monitor as well." Either Nintendo likes playing around with this secret that they've got hidden under their sleeve or they hadn't decided a year ago to put in a projector or maybe... Lost_Revolution is just telling lies. It could be that they just hadn't decided yet... I mean, we still have around a year before the Revolution's release... Can't they still make some changes? Q: How much will Revolution cost? A:: An exact price is unknown. But Nintendo is aggressively seeking to deliver a small, quiet and affordable console. It seems likely that the unit will debut at the sub-$200 mark and possibly cheaper if all goes as planned. Another reason to doubt all these comments on "cube mapping" and projectors. The price. Rumors are also listed in the last two pages of the article. Interesting... One also mentions gyroscopic controllers. The last Rumor is also very interesting... Guess what it talks about?! A patent by Nintendo to have no fixation points in a game. Basically the screen would not move to focus on something particular... How? Well, with a holographic image of course. If he had created several accounts a while back (like lost_revolution) and used them to gain Karma... Then he might have been able to make this all seem more believeable.
